TRIO KARENINE AT THE THEATRE DES BOUFFES DU NORD
In less than ten years, the Karénine trio has established itself as an essential formation in the French landscape. After winning in 2013 the very prestigious ARD competition in Munich, they were able to impose their passion and daring by constantly developing links between the arts – from writers to composers – and between eras. The ghosts of German music, from Ludwig van Beethoven to Johannes Brahms, haunt this program. The three intrepid performers bring together Schumann’s romanticism and the contemporary repertoire. Two powerful figures of our time, Wolfgang Rihm and Franck Krawczyk, cite the shadows of Schumann and Beethoven on a moving journey through history.
